DIV Reference Page for CBRE Reps

Achilles has partnered with Certificial to ensure that all CBRE suppliers have insurance that meets the specific requirements based on the Achilles Risk Assessment process.

It is critical that every supplier’s insurance:

The CBRE Requirements

Once a supplier has completed the Achilles Risk Assessment Questionnaire they will be assigned a specific Template that was approved by CBRE Management. Each CBRE business entity (GWSA, JPMC, etc.) has multiple Templates that include lower or higher requirements depending on the risks associated with that supplier’s business.

The various requirements and Tier levels for the different CBRE certificate holders established by CBRE Management can be found at the following links, (please feel free to share with your suppliers):

Waivers

Certificial is not authorized to waive any requirements set by CBRE Management.  CBRE Reps will need to communicate directly with their management if such waivers are absolutely necessary.

Verified by the supplier’s agent or broker

Suppliers cannot verify their own insurance!  Only a licensed broker or agent can verify their insurance in the Certificial platform.  This is to prevent potential fraud or error.

Supporting Documentation

Many of the standard CBRE templates require that suppliers’ agents provide endorsement forms to support the certificate of insurance.  Insurance endorsements are clauses or riders that are added on to policies to expand or customize the coverage offered by the policy.  The common endorsements that CBRE requires are:

While other formats are acceptable – here are common examples of these forms…

Cert Holder Information & Insured Name

Suppliers need to provide certificates with the correct CBRE cert holder name and address on the face of the certificate.

For CBRE, Supplier Shield, ACS, DCS or PPG agents should use:
For CBRE Canada and LDS
agents should use:
For CBRE UPS
agents should use:

Insureds’ name and address should match the information in Veritas and Certificial or the certificate may be rejected.

Agents (Producers) must include their contact email on the certificate, or the certificate may be rejected.

AM Best Ratings

A.M. Best Company, Inc. is a credit rating agency that focuses on the insurance industry.  CBRE requires that all Suppliers use Insurers that have an A- or better AM Best rating.  Exceptions need to be made for state owned workers compensation insurers or Canadian entities, as AM Best is US based.
